Blu is back with “La Cuccagna” a raw metaphor of the effects of capitalism created for this year’s Draw the Line Festival in Campobasso, Italy.

Organized by the Malatesta associates, the Marxist artist created a huge mural on the exterior facade of a building in Via Liguria, that titled “The Cuccagna” represents a chilling narrative sequence on the effects of capitalism.
In the upper part of the mural, we see a golden carousel where banknotes hang from the ceiling and where instead of horses we find helicopters, and luxury boats and cars. A luxurious and glittering carousel is powered by of the forced labor of those exploited and oppressed, responsible for the continuous and unceasing flow of the mechanism. The center of the image is dominated by the colour red, symbol of slavery, fatigue, oppression, deprivation of liberty. At the bottom we see the consequences of the excesses.
