Here a few images of this beautiful wall painted by Italian artist and muralist Fabio Petani, painted for the PAINT project in Desio organised by Poste Italiane.
The Poste Italiane launched in 2016 a project aims to revitalise displaced post offices throughout the country. The project involves the construction of 22 murals on the exterior walls of 22 offices, transforming them into landmarks.
As in the rest of his work, Petani’s murals express a fine balance between organic forms, geometry and lettering, always adding patches of earth colours into a composition characterised by balance and symbolism.
Titled “Copernicium & Vaccinium Myrtillus”, the new mural bears the name of Copernicium, a chemical element with symbol Cn and atomic number 112 (seen on the right side of the mural) and a reference to the elements isotopes (287), as well as an abstracted representation of Vaccinium Myrtillus or European blueberry. Delicate and beautiful as always.
Other artists featured in this project are Corn79, Astronaut and Mr.Fjodor
