Argentinian artist Francisco Bosoletti was recently involved in a pretty interesting project called ‘Ultraviolet”, organised in Naples, Italy, and for which he created the amazing portrait of a homeless person using ultraviolet spray paint.
Titled ‘Speranza Nascosta’ (Hidden Hope), the new mural portrait aims to give a face to the many people who each day visit the facilities of Centro “La Tenda”, a charitable association that welcomes, feeds and provides asylum to those who need it.
As explained by the artist, they are so many that a man need to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to prepare breakfast for them, and in the evenings they have to draw lots in order to get a warm place to sleep at.
As mentioned earlier, the mural was painted with ultraviolet paint which means that it requires a filter to be fully appreciated. The mural is invisible until we look beyond what is evident and we start seeing those we otherwise use to ignore.
